Amsterdam has two main entrances to the city. On the north side there is the Central Train Station with also a cruise ship terminal. On the south side the main roads enter the city at congres centre RAI.
Reflected as the southern Harbor of Amsterdam there is the work ‘PortRai’.
During major renovations and restructures in front of the RAI, that seem to take forever, the walls around the the construction side, obstructing the view for passers-by, are painted white. A harbor is created with twelve sails evenly spread over the construction site, making the space behind the walls visible.
This work was part of Façade an initiative of 60 Layers of Cake Foundation.
